Ryan started 3rd grade today and we all took him to school to wish him good luck. His new teacher is Mrs. Potter and we have heard so many good things about her. Her main focus is not only academics but she also heads the Destination Imagination project at FRE (to know more, visit http://www.idodi.org/what.html). This will prepare Ryan to be a creative and critical thinker. We can't wait to join and start the project.
This is also Ryan's 1st year with a school size of 30 kids. It's a bit overwhelming but we are hoping for the best. They do have option 2 where a math and language teacher takes 20 kids for separate instruction 3 hrs of the day. I hope Ryan can ignore all the distraction with the different teachers and classrooms in 1 day.
