Jack on the other hand had a little more difficult year. He had to undergo multiple medical tests to figure out the reason for his low weight gain. In February, we learned that he is allergic to milk, eggs, oats and peanuts. In the spring, with the help of his allergist, we discovered that he is allergic to all animal protein except for pork, fish and shell fish. He is also allergic to oats, barley, cantaloupe, all berries and intolerant to tomatoes. He was tested for celiac disease, zinc problems, malabsorption, cystic fibrosis, genetic disorders, eosiniphilic esophagitis and they all came out negative. We are still waiting for the results for chromosomal abnormalities.
Because of his low weight gain and food aversion, he had to undergo occupational and physical therapy. He sees his OT and OT 4 times a week. He is slowly progressing with his gross motor skills but he has been eating great during his OT.
Jack celebrated his 1st birthday and dedication (together with kuya Ryan) this spring. All our families came from Fresno and New York to celebrate with us. He had a great birthday party with our friends and families.
