This morning, Jesse and Jack left at 5:30 am to go to CHOC for Jack's endoscopy and biopsy. Too difficult to explain but to learn more on what he's going through today, click on http://www.apfed.org/egid_diagnosis_r2.htm. A pediatric anesthesiologist will put him to sleep and the gastrointerologist said it will only take less than an hour. They will leave a Ph probe in his esophagus overnight to measure the acid inside. We will have to go back friday morning so they can take it out and meet with the gastrointerologist next week for the results.
If they confirm Eosiniphilic Esophagitis, then they might prescribe steroids to help the imflammation of his esophagus. We will continue to eliminate all food he's allergic to (oats, barley, milk, eggs, soy, peanuts/tree nuts, chicken/turkey, beef/lamb, berries and canteloupe) and continue with his amino acid based formula.
Please pray for our baby Jack.
